Science Parent Workshop School Council and our Science Leaders will be hosting a Science workshop for parents on Thursday 15th November at 9.15am. The children will be hosting this event and will demonstrate different investigations linked to your childs science unit for this term. They will be showing you how children learn Science at school. It will be fun! We look forward to seeing you all next week ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY Our whole school target for attendance is 96%, Last week our whole school attendance was 98.2%- well done everyone! Parent and pupil review reminder On Monday 12th November school will be closed throughout the day, to allow teachers to meet with Parents and Pupils to review progress so far and set targets for this year. Please bring your child with you to your appointment, so that you child is clear about what they need to do to improve! You will get a chance to look at your childs books and ask questions. Each appointment is 15 minutes– please make sure you are on time. More Able and Talented Children The Department for Education define ‘More Able’ pupils in terms of those whose progress and attainment significantly exceed age- related expectations. We would be really interested to hear if you think that your child has any gifts or talents that we may not be aware of, or where you think your child’s strengths may lie. This includes Sport, Music, Gymnastics, Dance and other activities they may do outside school. Please can you report this to the class teacher at your earliest convenience– for example at pupil review meetings. Thank you. Robert Browning Newsletter Sports News!
