QUESTION: WHAT INGREDIENTS CAN YOU FIND IN COMMON LIP BALM (BURTS BEES, EOS AND BABY LIPS) THAT HELP RESTORE AND REJUVENATE DRY LIPS?

Answer: There are many different ingredients that are common in most Lip Balm. The three I found that were most common were the Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil and Beeswax. Shea Butter comes from Karite Trees that are only found in Africa. Jojoba Oil comes from a plant called the jojoba plant that can be found in Southern Arizona, Southern California and Northwestern Mexico. Beeswax is a natural wax that is produced in a bee hive. Beeswax, Jojoba Oil and Shea Butter helps prevent chapped lips and restores dry lips.

SHEA BUTTER

Shea Butter has been used for centuries for its unsurpassed ability to protect and regenerate the skin. It comes from the nut of the Karite tree, which grows throughout West Africa. Shea Butter is a slightly yellowish or ivory-colored fat extracted from the nut of the African Karite Tree (Shea Tree).

BEESWAX

Beeswax is a natural wax produced in the bee hive of honey bees. It is mainly esters of fatty acids and various long chain alcohols.

JOJOBA OIL

Jojoba Oil is the liquid wax produced in the seed of the Jojoba plant, a shrub native to southern Arizona, southern California, and northwestern Mexico.
