Transcript of Schools must use the funding to make€¦ · Lots of little tips from coaches eg. Netball drills....
Schools must use the funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport they offer. This means that you should use the Primary PE and Sport Premium to:
• develop or add to the PE and sport activities that your school already offers • build capacity and capability within the school to ensure that improvements made now will benefit pupils joining the school in future years
Please visit gov.uk for the revised DfE guidance including the 5 key indicators across which schools should demonstrate an improvement. This document will help you to review your provision and to report your spend. DfE encourages schools to use this template as an effective way of meeting the reporting requirements of the Primary PE and Sport Premium.
We recommend you start by reflecting on the impact of current provision and reviewing the previous spend. Under the Ofsted Schools Inspection Framework, inspectors will assess how effectively leaders use the Primary PE and Sport Premium and measure its impact on outcomes for pupils, and how effectively governors hold them to account for this.
Schools are required to publish details of how they spend this funding as well as on the impact it has on pupils’ PE and sport participation and attainment. We recommend regularly updating the table and publishing it on your website as evidence of your ongoing review into how you are using the money to secure maximum, sustainable impact. proportion of our children attend clubs.
We offer a breadth of sports at clubs and in PE sessions.
Shared ethos and aims amongst staff team
Opportunities to observe lessons in PE to ensure progression of skills
and lesson structure.
Physical equipment for play activities during lunchtimes and how we
influence an active lifestyle beyond the school day.

Children really enjoy them (they
ask can we do GoNoodle now?
And then “again” they don’t want
to stop), it gives them more ideas
for steps when making up their
own dance routines (as seen in PE
and play activities and younger
ones putting on shows)
I can see an improvement in
rhythm, engagement and
coordination as we move through
the levels (teacher reflection).
The new outdoor space is used
well, the children are active
during playtimes and enjoy using
the new climbing equipment.
Children do cartwheels, rolls on
the turf which they couldn’t do on
the tarmac (observations).
Children’s comments “It’s cool”…
“I like the new water pump”… “I
love everything!”

This is already a strength for our
school.

who want to succeed in sport.

Children’s comments after our
Mintridge visitors
“Amazing”…”It’s inspired me to
play netball and I want to do a
club outside school”…”You get to
see a famous person”…”It was
fun”… “It inspires you to get fitter
and healthier.” The range and
number of pupils who attend
outside school clubs is impressive
which I like to think stems from
our high profile of sport here at
Ingham. We have 29 pupils who
attend football coaching, 4 tennis,
12 gymnastics (3 of whom have
just started this year following
our gym sessions), 7 athletics, 13
dance, 1 cricket, 20 swimming, 3
horse riding, 3 fishing, 5 kick
boxing, 1 karate, 2 sailing, 3
squash, 1 netball, 1
cheerleading.(pupil survey) The
celebration table is always full of
awards.On 29th January 20
children (4teams) took part in the
schools gymnastics competition
and did really well. We came
away with An individual silver
and gold for the under 7s and a
whole under 7 team Bronze as
well as a silver and gold
individual under 9 and a whole
team under 9 Gold medal!
We have achieved lots of success
in athletics too, one Y6 boy
consistently came either 1st or 2nd
The Mintridge is project worth
continuing and buying into at
the same level next year.

skills taught.

previously
recorded above)
A day has been put aside for
observations but this hasn’t yet
taken place (only Reception).
Lots of little tips from coaches eg.
Netball drills. Children think of 2
syllable words for the netball foot
work rule. Correct positioning of
the body in shoulder stand and
front support and how to adjust
children…
Spring board training for staff
(check insurance)
Put together a pack of sports,
rules of play and skills kit.
Share gymnastic skills with
less confident members of staff
through releasing them to
observe. Purchase soft module/
foam incline £300

We had a lovely afternoon sharing
in school on the last afternoon of
term. Community event to take
place at Ingham Fair 23rd June.
Look at progression in each
sport and how we assess and
track children’s skills. Will
need supply cover to release
teachers.
The swords can now be used

Fill in entries and prepare teams for

£500 The children who attend clubs
were able to celebrate their
achievements with friends and
motivate others. For a number of
children this was the only
opportunity they will have to
attend an event like this and
benefited from the experience.
Look into joining Youth Sport
and applying for Bronze
achievement mark. Enter into
competitions which have a
