Sydney Russell School is looking to appoint some temporary Student Marshall to support the full re-opening of the school in September. Student Marshalls support the smooth running of the school by supervising and directing pupils in and about the school during the day. They are part of a large team, whose staff is all of equal value in working to involve all pupils positively in the life of the School to achieve their targets. The staff appointed will work throughout the day on a rota depending on the needs of the school. During lesson times duties may involve supervising the school building and grounds and picking up pupils who are absent from lessons without permission, checking and monitoring toilets or recording the names of pupils who arrive late to school and follow up with persistent offenders. They can support cover staff new to the school and escort students sent out of lessons to the place designated. During changeover of lessons and at breaks Student Marshalls will supervise and direct the pupils paying particular attention to their safety and security. Site Supervisor Location: Pathways School, 40 Thames Road, Barking, Essex, IG11 0HZ Salary: Scale 6 £27,228 - £28,215 Contract: Full Time, 36 hours per week split shift)

We are seeking to appoint a permanent School Site Supervisor for our school. Pathways School is a newly opened special school for Social, Emotional and Mental Health pupils. As an all through school we cater for students from Year 3 to Year 11. We are very excited to be opening this new role in our growing team and are looking for someone who is prepared to come on the journey with us. Our school is part of Eko Multi Academy Trust in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. We also have sites across Newham and Hackney. We offer:

• Welcome pupils and visitors to the school following the School's visitor procedures

• To Provide access to the building and grounds to authorised persons at all reasonable times

• Responsible for ensuring the building and contents are secured

• Liaise with the School Senior Administrator as required regarding maintenance and the Health & Safety to the school

• Carryout maintenance and repairs to the building, furniture and equipment within the scope of a competent handyman

• Manage the operation of the heating and lighting systems: monitoring usage and promoting energy conservation in the school.

• To manage deliveries and porterage duties as required and particularly the laying out of furniture and other equipment for timetabled activities without direct instruction

• Monitor the standards of cleaning of the building

• Maintain, monitor record statutory Health & Safety checks ensuring the premises are compliant e.g: Legionella Water testing, fire alarm testing, emergency lighting testing etc

• Miscellaneous duties of a practical nature as circumstances demand, or at the reasonable request of the Headteacher and or members of SLT

• Any other duties as required e.g liaising with external contractors
