Rock Stars Wednesday was Rock Star day! Pupils and staff dyed their hair, put on make-up, donned rock wigs and wore a wonderful array of rock clothes…they looked fantastic. Pupils took part in using garage mode on the TT Rockstars app, to improve their speed of recalling times tables and year groups went head to head in ‘battles of the bands’. It brought out their super competitive spirit! 25 of our pupils also performed in a Rocksteady concert (for pupils and their parents). These pupils are the first of our pupils to have taken part in the weekly ‘Rocksteady’ music lessons, learning to sing and/or play ‘rock’ instruments. After only 10 weeks, they performed with confidence and skill. Next week’s word of the

week is… Ambassador

You can do any or all of these… the choice is yours!

Each week, we will focus on work undertaken by a different class. This week, it is the turn of 2L…

Devastating fire destroys London! Read all about it! This half term, Year 2 have been learning all about the

Great Fire of London. We’ve made Tudor houses and (safely) set fire to them to see what it must have felt like

for people when the fire spread. We’ve analysed sources, performed freeze frames and written to the king!

Watch out for our newspaper reports all about it!

Half-Termly Music Performance Assembly

It was the turn of Year 1 and Year 3 to showcase what they have been learning in Music this half term. Year 1 performed a rock song, ‘I Wanna Be in a Band’, accompanied by glockenspiels. Year 3 performed their rap about anti-bullying with a lot of attitude, from children and teachers!

News… Ladybridge played Lostock at football yesterday and lost in a very close fought, high quality game. Unlucky team!

Parents… Missing football kits - During the last year, a number of different children have represented the school in various football tournaments and matches. They have used three different kits:

Pink shirts, black shorts and socks.

Blue and white striped shirt, royal blue shorts and socks.

Blue and yellow stripped shirt, royal blue shorts and socks. Unfortunately, a number of kits haven’t been returned. This means that from next year, unless we get kits returned, we won’t have enough to participate in any tournaments/matches. If your child has played for the school football team, PLEASE check their room, bags, wardrobes and drawers to see if there are any missing kits (and return them to school asap). Thankyou
