Monday 18th of February 2019 Term 1 Week 4
E A Southee Public School has introduced Class 31 activities for Friday afternoons to students
K-6. This aligns with the United Nations Article 31 of the Convention of Rights of the Child
(CRC) to play.
Team 3 Peer Support, led students from across the whole school through old fashioned board
games and activities to build positive relationships and student well being, while developing
the leadership skills of the TEAM 3 students.
Friday the 8th of February was our first afternoon and the feedback from both students and
staff has been very positive. Our focus on developing a holistic approach to building a positive
learning environment is essential for all our students.

Class Councillors
Congratulations to Term 1 2019 class councillors. Class councillors are elected by their peers
who they feel uphold the values of our school of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience. These
students then represent their class at SRC meetings to discuss anything of importance.
Arrival Times
The welfare of all students enrolled at EA
Southee Public School is of paramount
importance and the teachers take positive
measures to ensure student safety.
The official school hours are 9.25 am to 3.25 pm

these times they are preparing for lessons. Their
responsibility for supervising students is
restricted to the official hours of 8.55 am to 3.40
pm
The only exceptions are students arriving on the
buses prior to 8.55 am. Thank you.
