What is a School Adjustment Plan?

• One page Word document (generally – can be back to back or smaller font)

• An individual school wide plan – source of key information - context specific

• Reports on aspects which act as a barrier to a student’s access and participation in school life and states the reasonable adjustments to support access and participation in school life

• Reports on 6 Domains – curriculum, Communication, Mobility, Personal Care, Safety and Social Skills

challenges and corresponding adjustments • To provide the most useful information,

contextualised to the particular student and the particular school

• To provide an ‘easy reference’ document for all school staff to ensure consistency in the implementation of each student’s adjustments
