SCHOLARSHIP BACKGROUND

The Scholarship honours the late Rev. Richard Bosanquet and is awarded to a student of outstanding ability and character. It is awarded to a student eligible for enrolment in the Senior School. Provided the student upholds compliance with the selection criteria and maintains recipient requirements, they will hold the scholarship until they complete their studies at the School. The Scholarship will then be re-advertised and awarded to a new recipient.

The recipients of the Scholarship are in turn expected to make a significant personal contribution to the community and the School.

REV. RICHARD BOSANQUET

“No praise could be great enough for the devotion and hard work of Rev. Bosanquet during the seven years of his position as the first Headmaster of the School”.

(TIGS Council 1965)

Rev. Bosanquet faced the problems experienced by the School in the early days with “cheerfulness and courage. He laid solid foundations both scholastically and spiritually and he will be remembered most of all for his great love of the students themselves.”

ABOUT TIGS FOUNDATION

TIGS Foundation is the organisation through which families and supporters are able to contribute to the growth of the School, its facilities and traditions. Beginning in 1986 and made possible by the generous support of donors, TIGS Foundation has been fundamental in the areas of Capital Growth, Philanthropy and Benevolent Scholarships for the benefit of TIGS students, families and the School community. It is only through the foresight and valued contribution of the School community for 60 years that our students enjoy the benefit of a TIGS education within our excellent campus.

A fundamental priority of TIGS Foundation is to use its resources to afford opportunities for students whose financial and personal circumstances are a barrier to attend the School and experiencing the benefits of a TIGS education.
