Welcome to the 23rd Annual Bruin Scholarship Open

It’s tee time!

It is with great excitement and gratitude to welcome you to a day of fun, fellowship and golf. We cannot thank enough the sponsors, golfers, prize donors, staff, students and volunteers who have come together this year to make the Bruin Scholarship Open one of the finest events of its kind. Due to the hard work and dedication of all involved, particularly during this unprecedented time, this is a day that all participants remember fondly.

Over the past 22 years, the Bruin Open has raised $1.3 million in much needed scholarship support for students who wish to further their education or training. These educational opportunities strengthen our surrounding communities by providing our local businesses with educated, productive citizens and employees. With 59 pre-professional transfer curricula; 35 associate degree programs; 28 certificate programs; six categories of professional certifications; and a variety of short-term, non-credit courses, KCC continually positions itself to be a premier institution of higher education that you can be proud of.

Kellogg Community College and the KCC Foundation remain committed to offering an affordable education to anyone who wishes to benefit from our services. With your support, we can continue to expand opportunities for student success.

You are all winners on this course today!

Best regards,

your foursome wagers $5, fails to Beat the Pro, your team has purchased the privilege of using the Pro’s distance for their next ball drop. Mulligans are not valid for second attempt to get on the green.

Proximity HolesClosest to the Pin Preserve #5, Marsh #6, Natural #6Longest Drive Preserve #9, Marsh #9, Natural #9

Bogey Rule Maximum score on any hole is a bogey. If your team does not make par, pick up your ball and take a bogey on your scorecard.

String Rules Each string can be used only one time for one putt. Place your string at the edge of the hole—if your ball is within the length of the string, it counts as though you made the putt. Golfers cannot ‘mark’ their strings to use multiple times. Team members cannot tie their strings together.

Mulligans Please use your mulligan when you think you need to! One ‘free’ shot per golfer. This works on the honor system. Mulligans may not be used on Contest, Betting Holes, and Longest Drive, or Closest to the Pin shots.

AFTER GOLF Please make sure to turn in your score cards. Then, check the raffle board in the pavilion to see if you are a raffle winner! Don’t forget to bring us your winning ticket to claim your prize!

Visit KCC staff at the raffle table area for a sweet treat from Schuler’s Restaurant & Pub, along with an extra goodie before departing for the day.

Winners for each Division will be the recipient of the O’Connell Traveling Cup and team name will be displayed on a permanent plaque in the Clubhouse. Prizes will also be awarded to Course and Proximity Hole winners.
