14 Scholarship Competition Rules One published copy of the score of each composition must be available for the judges. Photocopied scores will not be accepted without written permission from the composer or publisher. No repeats are to be taken with the exception of those written out with 1st and 2nd endings. There will be no concertos with the exception of Winds and Strings. Timing will be strictly enforced. Judges may need to stop students, due to time constraints. Each category of instrument or voice shall be judged independently. Single entry contestants in any category will not automatically receive a prize. A First-Place winner will not be eligible for future competition in that same category. Scholarships are to be used to further a student’s musical education. Scholarships will be presented to the winners at the annual Honors Recital. Judges’ decisions are final.
