Donahue About the Scholarship Joseph Donahue was a volunteer reading tutor at John Tyler Elementary School for 20 years until his death in 2010. As a young man during the Great Depression, he did not have the opportunity to attend college, but remained a firm believer in the importance of education throughout his life.
