The Marian Apostles make the promise to go to Holy Mass on Sundays and
Holy Days of Obligation. Holy Mass is the most important prayer of the Catho-
lic Church. Jesus himself is made present in the Sacred Host and Precious
Blood at the consecration at Holy Mass. He is present in His body, blood, soul,
and divinity.
Two Major Parts of Holy Mass:

As a Marian Apostle, I want to faithfully fulfill the duties of my Covenant of Love:
• Attend Holy Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obliga-
tion. • Pray the Dedication Prayer, “My Queen, My Mother”
every day. • Choose appropriate magazines, shows and entertainment
which correspond to the ideals of a Marian Apostle.

Chapter 8: Marian Apostles’ Dedication
Song:
Blessing of the Medals (and Religious Articles)
Priest: Our help is in the name of the Lord.
All: Who made heaven and earth.
Priest: The Lord be with you.
All: And also with you.
Priest: Let us pray, Almighty and everlasting God, you do not forbid us to represent your
saints in medals, (or in stone or paint), so that as often as we look on them, we medi-
tate upon their holiness and are led to imitate their deeds. In your kindness, we beg
you to bless and sanctify these medals, (pictures, crucifixes, and religious articles)
that honor your Son Jesus Christ and our Mother Thrice Admirable, Queen and Vic-
tress of Schoenstatt. As we humbly serve and honor her may we gain from you grace
in the present life and eternal glory in the life to come, through her merits and inter-
cession. This we ask through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Marian Apostles’ Dedication

Admirable, Queen, and Victress of Schoenstatt, in the Covenant of Love as Marian
Apostles:
(First and last names of girls read out loud.)
Girls: Today we have come to make our dedication as Marian Apostles (Name of Group)
Leader: (Name of Group), what is it that you wish to do today?
Girls: After a (two) year preparation, we would like to make our Marian Apostles’ Dedica-
tion.
Song: Let us be your Marian Apostles, Apostles for our MTA!
Pure, faithful, and sacrificial, youth for everyday!
To be little Immaculatas, afire for the world,
Afire for our Queen, our mission, Immaculatas for the world!
Girls: Mary, we your (Group Name) ask you to please pray for us.
16
Hail Mary, for the sake of your purity,
keep me pure in body and soul.
Open wide to me your heart and
the heart of your Son.
Implore for me deep self-knowledge
and grace to persevere and
remain faithful until death.
Give me souls, and
keep all else for yourself.
Amen.
Leader: Please pray your group prayer.
(Girls pray group prayer out loud)
Leader: You are invited to pray the Marian Apostles’ Dedication Prayer. (If any other Marian
Apostles are present, please join in praying.)
Girls: Dear Mother Thrice Admirable, Queen and Victress of Schoenstatt,
I thank you that you have called me to be a Marian Apostle. You have given me your
love and kindness. I may come to you in the shrine with all my joys and concerns. I
know that you are the best one to lead me to God, therefore I want to make this Cove-
nant of Love with you, just as Fr. Kentenich and the boys did on October 18, 1914.
Take me by the hand and show me the right path to follow in life. I trust that you will
always protect and educate me as your Child. Help me to become that which the Fa-
ther in heaven wishes me to be. Let me remain faithful to the Catholic faith even when
faced with difficulties. Give me a pure heart, and let me always be a positive example
for my family and friends as a true Marian Apostle.
Leader: The Marian Apostles will now read the three promises on the back on their certificate.
(The girls read the pledge on the back of their certificate)
Priest: As representative of our Mother and Queen and in the name of our Founder, Father
Joseph Kentenich, I accept your dedication and give you the Marian Apostles’ Medal.
(As the priest gives each girl her medal he says)
Priest: Be an apostle of our Mother Thrice Admirable!
Song: (one example)
My Queen, My Mother, I give myself to you. And to show my devotion to you, I con-
secrate to you this day: my eyes, my ears, my mouth, my heart, my entire self without
reserve. As I am your own my good Mother, guard me and defend me as your prop-
erty and possession. Amen.
