API Std 53 7.3.20.1 ROV Intervention • BOP stack shall be equipped with ROV
intervention equipment that at a minimum allows the operation of critical functions (each shear ram, one pipe ram, ram locks, and unlatching of the LMRP connector)
• Hydraulic fluid can be supplied by the ROV, stack mounted accumulators (which may be a shared system), or an external power source that shall be maintained at the well site. The source of hydraulic fluid shall have necessary pressure and flow rate to operate these functions.
• All critical functions shall meet the closing time requirements in 7.3.10.4
• Close each ram BOP in 45 seconds or less
• Close each annular BOP in 60 seconds or less
• Unlatch the riser (LMRP) connector in 45 seconds or less

ISOL-8 Aux. Pump
11 3/4/2015
ISOL-8 Pump • Isolated Hydraulic Power Unit, Integral to ROV (not a skid).. • Each pump module is an independent machine and the array is controlled and
synchronized in software. • Pumps a wide variety of fluids at high flow rates. • Hydrogenated Nitrile (HNBR) seals compatible with mineral oil, water based oil,
fresh and sea water, glycol, methanol and MEG.
• Input/Oil side uses Nitrile (NBR) seals
• Software Control of − Pressure − Flow − Fluid Source(s)
API-53 Compliant BOP Override Solutions

Aux. Pump Performance
• Software driven pump producing
• 5,000 psi/50 gpm = 8 cylinder
• 76.7GPM at 2,259 psi
• 50.3GPM at 4,846 psi
• 3,000 psi/33 gpm = 4 cylinder
• Hydrogenated Nitrile (HNBR) seals compatible with mineral oil, water based oil, fresh and sea water, glycol, methanol and MEG.
• Input/Oil side uses Nitrile (NBR) seals.

Beyond API Std 53 – Fluid Intervention • ISOL-8 can power new ROV tools never
before possible. • Higher power dredge pumps reduce time
on slow tasks like suction pile evacuation. • Higher pressure and flow input allows
torque tools of much higher ratings. • Pressure wash directly from tooling
manifold. • ISOL-8 replaces subsea HPU for ROT
operations.
