Essentials of Excel 2013

Microsoft Excel is a program used to present data in a spreadsheet, or a table of rows and

columns. Data can then be sorted, organized or manipulated mathematically using various

arithmetic operations and formulas. This introductory course will teach you basic data editing,

performing calculations with formulas, managing workbooks, creating charts, and many other

marketable skills using the automated tools found within Excel.

FREE Massage Therapy Information Session

The massage therapy profession is growing rapidly in response to increasing interest in

promoting personal well-being and healthy living. The Brazosport College program includes the

450 hours of classroom instruction and 50 hours of internship required for licensing in the State

of Texas. The course begins in January and ends in December. Prospective students are

required to attend an information session prior to enrolling in order to receive complete

information about the program, state requirements, costs involved and financial aid options.

Medical Assistant

Medical Assistants work in doctors’ offices, hospitals and medical clinics assisting physicians by

performing administrative duties and handling basic clinical tasks. This program is completed in

two parts – classroom lecture and hands-on training, followed by a Clinical training portion.

Upon successful completion of this first part of the program, you will enroll in the Medical

Assistant Clinical course (separate enrollment fee). During the clinical you will be assigned to

work in a clinical facility and receive hands-on training in the field. Prerequisites: At least 18

years of age with a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) and acceptable

criminal background. (Clinical enrollment requires all state required immunizations, CPR

training and completed Healthcare Admissions Application.) After completing both

components of the program, you will be qualified to sit for a national certification exam

(additional fee).

En Garde! Join the beginner fencing class and learn basic fencing skills, attack and defense

techniques, and move on to full speed bouting with electronic scoring. A fencing uniform will

eventually be required, but the instructor has club equipment to loan initially, until you are sure

you actually like the sport. Wear shorts, t-shirt, knee high athletic socks and sneakers.

Enrollment is open to beginners age 11-13 and all returning students.
