PLAN OF THE ASSESSMENTS FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2015-16 FOR CLASSES I TO VIII MONTH TYPE OF ASSESSMENT REMARKS

April, 2015 No Assessment Due to month long CRP Activities and Admissions

May, 2015 1st Monthly Assessment in the last week

June, 2015 No Assessment Due to Summer Vacations

July, 2015 2nd Monthly Assessment in the last week

August, 2015 3rd Monthly Assessment in the last week

September, 2015 Half Yearly Assessment Dates will be decided in the consultation with BOSEH

October, 2015 4th Monthly Assessment in the last week

November, 2015 5th Monthly Assessment in the last week

December, 2015 No Assessment Due to Winter Vacations in last week

January, 2016 6rd Monthly Assessment in the Third week

February, 2016 7rd Monthly Assessment in the Third week

March, 2016 Annual Assessment Dates will be decided in the consultation with BOSEH

Note: 1. In monthly assessment, proportionate syllabus/ content will be covered accordingly as per plan. Monthly distribution of syllabus may be

taken for reference. 2. Monthly Assessment will be held in the first period of the respective week.

DETAIL DESIGN OF MONTHLY, HALF YEARLY AND ANNUAL ASSESSMENTS

CLASSES-I and II

Monthly Assessment

Total Marks : 10

Time : 45 Minutes Design : Assessment will be in the form of assignment based on Pictorial Type, Matching Type, Recognize Type,

Colouring Type questions etc.

Half Yearly Assessment

Total Marks : 20 Time : 60 Minutes Design : Assessment will be in the form of assignment based on Pictorial Type, Matching Type, Recognize Type,


Annual Assessment

Total Marks : 30 Time : 75 Minutes Design : Assessment will be in the form of assignment based on Pictorial Type, Matching Type, Recognize Type,


Final Result :

Total Marks for:

Monthly Assessment 10 x 7 = 70 marks to be converted into 10 Marks for Annual Result (Dividing factor 7). For example, if a student scores 50 mark out of 70 in all monthly Assessments. Then 50 will be divided by 7 = 50/7 = 7.1 round off to 7 marks which will be taken in his/her final results towards Monthly Assessment.

Half Yearly Assessment 20 marks to be converted into 10 Marks for Annual Result (Dividing factor 2). For Example, if a student scores 18 marks out of 20 in Half Yearly Assessments. Then 18 will be divided by 2 = 18/2 = 9 marks which will be taken in his/her final results towards Half Yearly Assessment.

Annual Assessment 30 marks

For Example, if a student scores 26 marks out of 30 in Annual Assessment. Then 26 marks will be taken in his/her final results towards Annual Assessment.

CCE Marks

CCE will have total 50 marks which include following four components Oral assignment = 15 Marks, Workbook = 15 Marks, Class room participation= 10 Marks Attendance = 10 Marks

For Example, if a student scores 42 marks out of 50 in all CCE Components. Then 42 marks will be taken in his/her final results towards CCE Assessment.

Thus, for total 100 marks, 10 marks will come from all Monthly Assessments, 10 marks will come from half Yearly Assessment, 30 marks will come from Annual Assessment and 50 marks will come from CCE i.e. oral assignments, work done in workbook, classroom participation and attendance.

Final Result :

Total Marks for:

Monthly Assessment 20 x 7 = 140 marks to be converted into 20 Marks for Annual Result (Dividing factor 7). For example, if a student scores 120 mark out of 140 in all monthly Assessments. Then 120 will be divided by 7 = 120/7 = 17.1 round off to 17marks which will be taken in his/her final results towards Monthly Assessment.

Half Yearly Assessment 40 marks to be converted into 20 Marks for Annual Result (Dividing factor 2).

For Example, if a student scores 37 marks out of 40 in Half Yearly Assessments. Then 37 will be divided by 2 = 37/2 = 18.5 round off to 19 marks which will be taken in his/her final results towards Half Yearly Assessment.

Annual Assessment 80 marks to be converted into 40 Marks for Annual Result (Dividing factor 2).

For Example, if a student scores 76 marks out of 80 in all Annual Yearly Assessments. Then 76 will be divided by 2 = 76/2 = 38 marks, which will be taken in his/her final results towards Annual Assessment.

CCE Marks For Classes III to V CCE will include workbook, class room participation and attendance having respectively maximum 20, 10

and 10 marks in whole academic session. These 40 marks will be converted into 20 Marks for Annual Result (Dividing factor 2). For Example, if a student scores 34 marks out of 40 in all CCE Components. Then 34 will be divided by 2 = 34/2 = 17 marks which will be taken in his/her final results towards CCE Assessment.

For Classes VI to VIII CCE will include PBL, class room participation and attendance having respectively maximum 20, 10 and 10 marks in whole academic session. These 40 marks will be converted into 20 Marks for Annual Result (Dividing factor 2). For Example, if a student scores 38 marks out of 40 in all CCE Components. Then 38 will be divided by 2 = 38/2 = 19 marks which will be taken in his/her final results towards CCE Assessment.

Thus, for total 100 marks, 20 marks will come from all Monthly Assessment, 20 marks will come from Half Yearly Assessment, 40 marks will come from annual Assessment and 20 marks will come from CCE i.e. project work/workbook, classroom participation and attendance.
