Go snorkeling at the Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve

Another scenic treasure awaits you in Oahu. The Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve is actually a sunken volcanic cinder cone that draws an enormous amount of snorkelers from all over the world. Here you will find several reef communities that are home to some of the most exquisite tropical fish that live in our oceans. The bay offers the world a breathtaking example of a Hawaiian Coral Reef.

Visit The U.S.S. Memorial

Here you will see the U.S.S. Arizona, deep within the water of the harbor. It rests on the floor of the harbor, one of the three warships that were sunk on December 7, 1941. This was the day of the Japanese attack on the U.S. fleet at Pearl Harbor, Oahu, Hawaii. Even up to today, fuel oil still leaks from its turrets, which is surprising seeing that it happened more than 60 years ago. Visitors to the U.S.S. Memorial are presented with a film, and then are taken to the monument by Navy skiff. It is a solemn memorial to the 1,177 men that were killed during Pearl Harbor attack.
