Benefits of SCD Web Portal

• Provides an easy to use web interface to SCD resources and information.

• User customizable to provide only relevant information.

• Single sign-on interface.• Allows scientists to concentrate on science not

computing.• Provides current Job Queue and GAU

information (job accounting information next release) in easy to read format.

SCD Portal Components

• The SCD Portal consists of Pages and Channels.• Pages are user customizable for both layout

and content relating to one category.• Channels are visible active components on a

page. These can contain static web pages or entire applications.

• Channels are often referred to as Portlets.
