How to Create SCAT program for any mass upoad purpose!

SCAT is similar to LSMW/BDC to upload/updated data in SAP from legacy system.

The differences et!een SCAT and LSMW "#

LSMW and SCAT has different functionalities and different ad$antages% ut commonthing is they are used for data upload.

SCAT is mainly used as a testing tool for follo!#on transactions i.e. Purchase&e'uisition% Purchase order% (oods &eceipt etc.

Whereas LSMW is used for Master data )Materials% Customer% *endor% B+M% ,nforecord etc- and some of the transactions data )Purchase order% purchase re'uisition-

There are many standard oects are a$ailale in LSMW so most of the consultantsuse LSMW% ut again depends on the re'uirement.

&ecording a test case

. To record a test case% call Transaction SCAT and enter test case 0user1creat.# Do not choose 2nter.# Choose Test Case 3 &ecord Transaction. 2nter Transaction S45% and choose&ecord/2nter.# The system runs Transaction S45.# 2nter the user name T2ST0 and choose Create.# 2nter the user6s title first name 02B&A and the last name T2ST.# Select the Logon data ta% enter init as the initial pass!ord% and repeat the pass!ord%

profile select sap1all then choose Sa$e.

@. To e8port the default parameters into a frontend file% in the test case% select (oto3*ariants 3 28port Default.
