About Us

• Director’s: Wayne Smith, Kevin Devitt and Brad Jordan

• We are all experienced and professional soccer coaches, with several years of coaching experience at various youth levels, including high school

• We have been involved with European travel since 2005

• We are all currently involved with local youth soccer clubs as coaches and as Director’s of Coaching

• We have all had our own children experience this opportunity

Mission Statement

• The Scandia United Soccer Academy was formed to create an opportunity for selected youth soccer players to experience playing soccer in an International setting. We strive to provide a learning environment whereas our youth can learn about different cultures through the game of soccer. We travel to Iceland, Denmark and Sweden, where we join in with some of their youth players to engage in an International soccer experience. Our youth are asked to live with each other and learn how to problem solve as individuals and as groups. They will learn about other cultures, as well as sharing our American culture with our friends from Scandinavia. We attempt to bring a closer relationship between the United States and Scandinavia.

Soccer Tours & Tour Companies

• The majority of soccer tours are run by ‘tour companies’

• Itineraries are generally pre-set with little or no changes during the trip

• A fee is charged for their service and staff coaches are not provided

• Sightseeing opportunities are prescribed and inflexible

• Cultural exchange is non-existent

• We make every effort to insure our player’s safety and enjoyment of this experience

• We are available to our player’s 24 hours a day

• We stay with the player’s at the schools and have additional chaperones as necessary

• We have Danish and Swedish friends that provide special opportunities for our player’s

• We care for our player’s as if they were our own children

This tour is a journey. We travel to Iceland, Denmark and Sweden

to train and play in two International Soccer Tournaments, form friendships

with peers from parts of the world we've only read about, and learn the

true meaning of teamwork. In the course of three+

summer weeks, the way you see the world will change, and so will you!

Tour Cost: $ 4500.00

• Inclusions – Air travel from Seattle or Denver; bus, ferries and trains throughout the Journey; sightseeing in Iceland, Denmark and Sweden; Training and meals the first week; Tournament fees and meals; Uniform/Gear Bag

• Exclusions – Meals during travel days; Ride tickets at Liseberg Amusement Park; Spending money; Travel Insurance

Parents and Supporters

• Parents/supporters are welcome to join us on any part of, or the entire Journey

• Costs and arrangements can be made through Scandia United to help facilitate your travels

• Hotel accommodations can be provided in order to keep all of our parents/supporters together

• A tentative itinerary will be posted prior to the Journey, which may change during the Journey

• The cost to join us for the entire Journey is $4500.00, based on double occupancy with the hotel accommodations and includes all the transportation provided to the players and staff
