Our daughters deserve the same opportunity to play sport at every level as our sons.

Our ambition with #SayYesIRL is to improve the way in which Women’s sport is perceived by sport itself, by the media, the public and potential commercial partners in Ireland.

We set ourselves five achievable targets within the first 100 days.

1. We will create a group of active supporters across sport, business and society so that what we do can be amplified on as broad a stage as possible.

2. We will survey Irish sporting organisations to determine the level of regard in which Women’s sport is held and the reality of opportunity for Women in Irish sport on and off the field of play.

3. We will identify 10 Key Events in 2014/15 that will serve as a showcase for the talent and opportunity that exists in Irish Women’s Sport.

4. We will encourage Irish media to commit to a stepping up of coverage of Women’s sport, and hold them to account through analysis.

5. We will launch Sport for Daughters as a public access campaign to encourage greater awareness of the opportunities and benefits for the next generation to participate in sport.
