Prov 6:6-8 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways and be wise: which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.

Ants work hard and save for the future without being told.

Prov 21:20 NIV In the house of the wise are stores of choice food and oil, but a foolish man devours all he has.

In good times when we are working and earning, we need to save a portion

for future needs.

Save more.

There’s nothing wrong with entertainment; just be certain that you are

taking care of business.

Philippians 4 19 But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. 20 Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever.. Amen.

Always give God thanks and glory for everything.

Don’t be ashamed to openly praise the Lord.

Don’t waste anything.

Paul Roland mentioned one time that his chaplain had preached on the difference

between faith and presumption.

Faith is believing according to the Word of God.

Presumption is believing what we want to believe, and trying to mold God into our image.

But faith believes only what the Word of God teaches.

Will you believe and obey every Word of God?

Therein lies your blessed life.

God gave us the example of the ant to teach us to work and store up for future needs.

Will you follow that Biblical example?

If you have a public job, the government

takes their portion first.

Then we need to pay our tithes on what’s left.

After that we need to save a reasonable amount for future needs.

Then we live on the remainder.

But there are those who get obsessive about saving.

They have a "get rich" attitude, and that can be just as bad as not saving at all.

Prov 28:20 A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.

A faithful man is dependable to obey God’s Word.

He does not allow his own thoughts to supersede.

No excuses!

Prov 23:4-5 Labor not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom. Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward Heaven.

Let God show you how much

is enough.

1 Tim. 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

A faithful man will not save money that his family needs to live on right now, and he won’t waste it.

But he will save enough for future needs.

A faithful man is consistent in his obedience; day in and day out -- he obeys

and lives according to God’s Wisdom.

The Word of God clearly teaches

Balance and Consistency.

We can balance church, family, personal devotion unto God, along with work and business, enough rest, recreation, and all

other things that make up our lives.

But we don’t owe our fleshly nature anything.

There’s no place for sin in our lives.

2 Cor. 6 16And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be My sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. You can’t mix a

little sin with a little religion.

Love God; serve God; Live life God’s Way.
