Good Deeds won’t help• People will not go to Heaven

because of their good deeds, nor to Hell because of their evil deeds.

• Being a “good” person just isn’t enough according to Gods perfect standards.

• If people went to Hell because of their sins (bad deeds), everyone would go there.

• We all fall short (even me).

Bible teaching

• THE BIBLE says that if you repent of your sins and receive Jesus Christ into your life as Lord and Saviour, you will be saved from eternal punishment in Hell when you die.

Getting saved

• The next few actions will show you how can you receive eternal life so that you will be sure to go to be with God when you die.

• No more than 5 minutes of your time to change where you land up for eternity.

Step 1: Admit that you are a sinner.• The Bible says, “For all have

sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

• i.e. Admit you have and do “bad deeds/Sin” – even 1 and you fall into this category.

Step 2: Know that God has already provided for your salvation.

• “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son [Jesus Christ] that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

Step 3: Know that you cannot save yourself.• “Not by works of righteousness

which we have done but according to his mercy he saved us” (Titus 3:5).

Step 4: Repent of your sins.• Except ye repent ye shall all

likewise perish” (Luke 13:3).

Step 5: Ask Jesus Christ to save you.• “For whosoever shall call upon

the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13) and “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:31).

Step 6: Proclaim Jesus before others.• “If thou shall confess with thy

mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness: and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9, 10).

• Talk to God in prayer every day.• Tell others about Christ.• Join a Bible-believing church and

get baptized. Worship with, and join other Christians in serving Christ in a church that truly believes the Bible and honours and preaches about Christ.
