This new innovative system offers easy installation in all field conditions, superior reliability, and enhances irrigation performance. As a result, growers will see reduced input costs of water, energy, labor, and even chemicals and fertilizers. This wireless pump control allows growers to avoid the expense and time of burying control wires for new pivot installations. At times, terrain and location prohibit control wire installation due to rocky soils, roadways, or the presence of underground obstacles such as gas and communication lines. Most importantly, this is the solution that provides quick and easy replacement of existing control wires damaged by rodents or deterioration. The system consists of a license-free radio control unit called the FL400 Base, which can be connected to any type of pivot controller. The FL400 Base communicates with multiple pump or valve units, called the FL400 Remote. Timers and delays may be set up to manage when the pivot starts and stops its pump(s), thereby preventing water hammer in pumps and allowing an engine to cool prior to shutdown.
