The need for blood is constant and every single day the Northern Ohio Blood Services Region tirelessly works to collect 900 pints of blood to support the transfusion needs of 57 local hospitals Without the support of dedicated volunteer blood donors we could not be able to continue our life-sustaining mission
Last year the Twinsburg Community Blood Drive on December 15 2009 was a great success The drive saw 280 volunteer blood donors come forward to give resulting in the collection of 249 pints of blood Each pint of blood that is collected can be split into its three components and given to different patients based on their need Because of this last years Twinsburg Community Blood Drive potentially helped touch the lives of over 750 patients in need
This drive itan annual event for the City of Twinsburg South Pointe Hospital and the American Red Cross Tris years blood drive will be held Tuesday December 14 2010 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Twinsburg We hope you can assist us this year for what is sure to be a fun and successfu l event

Did you know that every two seconds someone in America needs blood Or that one out of every 10 people admitted in a hospital needs blood Here in northeastern Oh io the American Red Cross supports the needs of patients in 57 local hospitals throughout 19 counties These patients are counting on us Blood cannot be manufactured It takes the courage and generosity of volunteer donors like you to help save lives
The American Red Cross is asking for your help Blood donations decrease during the holiday season leaving shortages of all blood types Donating blood takes about one hour from registration to munching on cookies Can you spare one hour to save a life Get in the holiday spirit and give blood the gift of life
