FBBG Garden Walk Schedule $5 per person; No reservations needed. All walks are expert-led, with a new topic covered each week. Walks start from the FBBG Gift Shop, rain or shine and last approximately 90 minutes. More information: 414-525-5653
Volunteers Needed
Year-Round!FBBG has many areas for volunteers to get involved. You can sign up for just one or as many as you want. Just get in touch with us and let us know what you’re interested in.
In-Garden: You don’t have to be a Master Gardener, just come ready to learn something new, have some fun and get a little dirty! In-Garden Volunteering Begins April 19th! NEW! Expanded hours for 2017: Monday - Friday 8am - 3pmSaturday - Sunday 8am - 11am Education: We’re always looking for experienced individuals to help with educational activities and garden tours for students. Support needed weekday mornings, year-round.
Administrative: As a small non-profit, the Friends of Boerner can always use a little extra help in the office.Support needed during business hours, Monday - Friday. Special Events: From family fun to fancy fundraisers, you can help make FBBG’s special events a little more special. Sign up and we’ll contact you when opportunities are available. Discovery: Bees! Saturday, May 6, 10am – 12pm$5 per participantLearn about the importance of bees, and visit Boerner’s hives for a safe, up-close look at honey-bees in action! Great class for children!
Build a Terrarium! Saturday, June 3, 10am – 12pm$20 per terrariumCreate a gorgeous miniature landscape in a jar! Terrariums are unique ways to keep plants, require little maintenance, and always look great! Excellent class for kids and families – all supplies provided! Stop by during the workshop time to build one.
Family Yoga in the GardensSunday, June 11, 12pm – 1pm$5 per participantBring yourself and your kids to spend the morning doing yoga in the sun! A great way to introduce your family to yoga and spend quality time together!
Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin: Healing Gardens - A Cancer Wellness Event Saturday, April 8, 2017, 9am–12pm An educational event especially for those on a cancer journey. Studies have shown gardening can help lower stress levels and promote relaxation. This event will explore various ways to include gardening in your life.
