Achievements: Built a dynamic and exclusive team of procurement & contract specialists from individuals

with certified quantity surveying backgrounds and experience. This proved to be most successful in the areas of contract formation, change management and administration.

Award of a significant line pipe order that was to be placed, on the recommendation of the project manager, with a company that had not satisfactorily completed a previous order. That company offered a reduction of some 15% of the price of the new commitment (if single sourced). Not convinced that this was competitive I sourced the market and eventually committed the order to an alternative company at a saving of some $800,000.00 CDN.

Excellent relationship management and leadership skills. Proven to be a strong and effective communicator. Gained significant respect from all

internal and external stakeholders regarding the acceptance and adherence to all procurement procedures and processes.

Closure of numerous claims through excellent negotiation skills. Consistent department and project budget under spend. Personal mentoring of graduates that have since been promoted to marketing and

distribution positions in the company. Excellent negotiator with regard to the acceptance or rejection of alternative contract

terms and conditions. Over time exceptions from contractors became fewer due to consistent and knowledgeable approach regarding what can and cannot be accepted.

Exhibited strong risk management and mitigation skills
