LEGACYLIVE! This year marks the third season of LegacyLive!, Columbus’s premiere classical music series. LegacyLive! features international artists of exceptional quality, whose performances each year delight hundreds of concertgoers, and, through broadcasts on NPR, thousands of listeners.
All performances occur in Legacy Hall, regardedby audiences and professional musicians alike as one of thefinest concert halls in the world for both its physical beautyand its unparalleled acoustics.
The 2010-11 LegacyLive! series of seven concerts features four professional ensembles and three stellar faculty members from CSU’s Schwob School of Music. These are exceptional opportunities to experience live music-making at its very finest, in an intimate and relaxing setting.

Internationally acclaimed guitarist and CSU faculty member Andrew Zohn performs a solo concert featuring works ranging from baroque masterworks of Scarlatti and Telemann to modern compositions of Piazzolla and Cardoso. Zohn, a noted composer for guitar, also performs two original compositions: E Sonata, and Variations and Fughetta. Zohn has performed as a soloist and chamber musician on four continents including recent venues in Italy, Slovenia, Canada, and Poland. www.andrewzohn.com

A First Place/Gold Medal winner of interna-tional piano competitions including the Van Cliburn, Busoni, Mamatsu, and Glasgow competitions, Kobrin is critically acclaimed for his technique, artistry, and commanding virtuosity.

Hailed by Strings magazine for her “youthful, surging playing, [and] natural stage presence,” cellist Wendy Warner, Schwob School of Music’s new Professor of Cello, is joined by classical pianist Irina Nuzova for a special LegacyLive! performance featuring all of Beethoven’s cello sonatas. Professor Warner’s appointment to the artist faculty of the Schwob School has been made possible in part by a generous gift from Leah D. Hamer.
