• UCHS turned 10 years old on Tuesday March 12th

• In keeping with one of its core tenets, Servant Leadership, UCHS has committed to starting the 1st Annual UCHIGHditarod

• A shopping cart race to collect non-perishable food for Catawba County modeled after the Alaskan Iditarod Race.

• 13% of Catawba County do not know where their next meal comes from. That is 20,000 people and 22.7% are children!

• You can be a SPONSOR, COME WATCH or enter a DOG TEAM!• Live Music, Food Trucks, Open House at School, Prizes awarded for Speed and

Creativity!

WE NEED YOU TO ENTER A TEAM!

• Teams consist of 5 people; 1 musher and 4 pullers• Pull a decorated grocery cart loaded with 70 pounds of nonperishable

groceries through a timed obstacle course with challenges along the way• Don’t worry…we have the carts for you to load and decorate! • There is a $50 entry fee for a team of 5, and teams are responsible for

collecting and filling their carts with 70 pounds of food• All food used in the race will go to local food banks. • Arrive by 10 for weigh in, Parade of Carts at 10:30 and race at 11. • Prizes awarded in multiple categories – creativity and speed!
