RENAMING THE FORMER CONVENT Renovations are well on their way inside the Former Convent at MSP! We are hoping you will help us with the renaming of this building! MSP’s Youth Ministry is sponsoring a contest to help in this process. All are welcome to participate during Lent. Ballot forms for your suggested new name can be found in the Parish Office, in the back of church and at the Fish Fry. The suggestion will be reviewed by Msgr. Michael and a committee of youth and adults. The winner will be announced during the Easter Season and will receive $100 in gift cards to local establishments. Put on your creative thinking caps and join us in the fun of coming up with a great new name to match this newly designed space. MONTHLY TOILETRY COLLECTION FOR THE CCC The Disciples of Vincent dePaul will hold their monthly toiletry collection next weekend, March 25/26. Toothpaste, deodorant, bar soap, liquid soap, toothbrushes, or shampoo will be gratefully accepted for the Community Clothes Closet.

DIOCESAN LENTEN APPEAL Thank you to all who took the opportunity to make a commitment at Mass this weekend. Our diocesan goal is $90,600 this year, and anything over this amount will be returned to the parish. We hope to use this year’s refund to furnish the old convent (soon to be renamed, see article on page 3) for youth ministry and parish meetings. If you were unable to make your commitment at Mass, please consider making it this week. You may do so online at DLA.dioceseofgreensburg.org, by sending your pledge card to the Parish Office or dropping it off, or by completing your pledge card and placing it in the offertory basket next weekend at Mass. LEGACY SOCIETY In January, a 360° picture of the interior of MSP Church in all her splendid Christmas finery was posted on Facebook. It quickly received more than 100 "likes" and "shares" and included many touching comments. For example, "It is one of those churches that you keep close to your heart, mostly it calls one to worship….. Beautiful.” "When I was growing up in the 1950s, Mt. St. Pete's wasn't just a building, it was, and still is, a WAY of LIFE! ..... and it still lives in my heart...... My parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles are gone now but when I see St. Pete's, they are standing right beside me!" Let’s be sure that this beautiful church and its mission continue to live on in our hearts and in the hearts and lives of future generations. In writing or revising your will, please consider a financial commitment to the Mount Saint Peter Parish Endowment Fund. And if you haven’t seen the picture already, take a look at the January 4, 2017 MSP Facebook posting. It’s well worth the effort.
