Saturday 22 nd March 2014 Mozart Overture to The Magic Flute Mendelssohn Concerto for Violin Soloist Elena Abad Beethoven Symphony No 5 Elena Abad Harrow Symphony Orchestra is a friendly, welcoming orchestra. We have vacancies in the string sections and would love to hear particularly from violinists and violists of a grade 8 level or equivalent with good sight reading skills and Gustavo Ubeda orchestral experience. We rehearse on Thursday evenings from 8.00 to 10.00 pm at Harrow Arts Centre, Uxbridge Road, Harrow Symphony Orchestra is Harrow’s own orchestra, founded in 1946. It encourages local musicians and gives them and their audiences the opportunity to enjoy and participate in orchestral music making. The orchestra performs three concerts each year and rehearsals continue throughout the year, providing members with a broad selection of musical experience. We are particularly proud that we have been able to put on concerts which have raised funds for local charities. We are very pleased to be continuing our project of playing the full cycle of Beethoven’s Symphonies. In previous seasons we performed Beethoven’s 1 st , 7 th and 8 th Symphonies, and this season we are performing his 6 th , 5 th and 4 th . Harrow Symphony Orchestra is a friendly, welcoming orchestra.
