SAINTS PROJECT

As part of our Confirmation, all Candidates are asked to choose a Saint’s name. This name can come from many sources including the name of a relative’s Confirmation Saint, the name of a relative, a Saint who we have a connection with and many more.

Wherever this name comes from, there is a Saint associated with that name and part of our Confirmation is the adoption of what that Saint stood for. Our Saints have paved the way of how to live a life that is full and for God, the very things we wish to adopt as part of our Confirmation.

It is therefore important that we know what our Saint stood for, how they lived their life and how they served God.

All Confirmation Candidates need to complete a Saint’s Project on their Saint which will be due on Sat 19th May 2018. This Project needs to show the following:

Facts about the Saint (eg who they were, where they lived etc) What the Saint stood for What aspects of the Saint and/or their life do they admire and wish to

adopt in their own lives

In addition to facts about their Saint (eg when they were born, when they died, etc), the Project should focus on what the Confirmation Candidate finds fascinating about their Saint and, most importantly, why they find it fascinating. Because of this, the Project must be in their own words and ‘cut and paste’ Projects (where information is merely copied word for word from websites or other sources) will not be accepted.

The Project can be submitted in one of the following ways:

A Poster A PowerPoint Presentation A one page essay (hand written or word processed)

These Projects will not be presented to the class and only the Catechists will see them. Please note that whichever method the Project is submitted in, it must contain all the information requested above.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email Rachelle on [email protected]
