You will need the following skills:
1. Develop and maintain 100% concentration
2. Determination to pass
3. Hard work + Regular reading
4. Self discipline and the need for you to give your best at all times
When should you begin your revision?
1. For some – it starts 1 week before the exam day.
2. For most – it starts the day you fill in your entry form
3. For the ideal – it starts as soon as the previous exam is over.
How to prepare for revision:1. Make sure that you have the correct books for the Satsang Exam you are giving:
Prarambh – Ghanshyam Charitra, Yogiji Maharaj Kishore Satsang Prarambh
Pravesh – Neelkanth CharitraShastriji MaharajKishore Satsang PrarambhSatsang Reader – Part 1
Parichay-Sahajanand Charitra, Bhagatji Maharaj,Kishore Satsang Parichay, Satsang Reader – Part 2
2. Prepare a timetable for the next 4 weeks or more

3. Planning your revision:
1. Prepare a revision plan before the Exam
2. Be realistic as to how much you can do in any one day or week

not be of any help to you in
preparing for the exams
4. Make a time-table and stick
to it as much as possible
4. Managing your Book(s)
1. Balance your time between your book(s)
2. Spread your effort so all the things are covered and nothing is left out
3. Take a break after every 35minutes of revision 4. Go through chapters you feel at ease with and concentrate on things you find difficult

How to make good revision notes:
1. When reading – always make sure you have a pen to use to underline/highlight important info
Places, Objects, Names, Dates, etc (POND)
2. Summarise the notes on a sheet of A4 – so you can use them for quick revision before the exam
3. Use spider or bubble diagrams
4. Review past exam questions and note important notes
The key to doing well is to:
1. Remember your info. and prasangs
2. Make good notes
3. Apply your knowledge
4. Do as many past paper questions as you can To memorise you may:-
Read and write from memory Read and say in your mind Read and say aloud Read and repeat in front of your Family/friendsDon’t worry about all the dates – learn the main ones.
10 reasons why some students fail?
1. They haven’t planned how to study
2. They don’t concentrate when studying
3. They waste time doing unimportant things
4. They don’t learn things properly
5. They don’t fully understand what they read
6. They don’t ask for help when they don’t understand
7. They don’t obtain and attempt past Satsang Exam papers which would give them an idea of the layout of the exam and style of the questions
8. They spend too much valuable time watching TV, playing PC games or getting engaged in other unnecessary activities
9. Only revise things they are comfortable with
10.They don’t try to increase their understanding or memory of difficult things to get higher marks
11. They don’t attend on the day of exam
Exam Preparation - Month Before
Begin each session reading the books and revise in your mind
the most important points.
Then you have to go through the past Satsang Exam papers and test yourself.
Practice things with friends or ask a
family member to test you.
Remember: Don’t try and
study where there are things that can disturb you

Go through a past Satsang Exam paper
under strict exam conditions
After completing the exam paper, mark it using the textbook.
Revise your mistakes very carefully and
commit to memory the correct answers

1. Go to sleep at your normal time
(Latest by 10pm)
2. Pray to Maharaj and Swami in bed & puja to help you tomorrow in the exam
3. Don’t stay up revising until late at night

Don’t wake up late and then rush
Plan to be there 30minutes
before the start of the exam(for some: at least plan to be there)

This Satsang Exam is to see how much you know,
not your friends. (BAPA is watching!)

In the exam
1. Pray to Maharaj and Swami before starting
2. Read the questions carefully before you start answering the questions
3. Do the easy questions first
4. If you cannot answer a question, go to the next one
5. Always make sure you write neatly
6. Manage your time carefully so you answer all the questions in the paper
If you left any questions out during the exam,
do not leave them unanswered;attempt them, if need be by a guess
It might be possible to gain a mark with a guess
So don’t leave ANY questionunanswered.
Put a mark of some sort next to incomplete questions, And attempt them at the end
If you require any helpor extra paper,
don’t look around at others. Just raise a hand and
ask the exam supervisors.
When writing essays, make sure you fill
almost all the space providedusing neat handwriting
You will have plenty of time, so think carefully before answering the question.
On completion, check and double check that
you have answered the questions correctly
When given a choice of questions, decide carefully,
before you writing the answer.
