SATORI "Vibrant & Eloquent"
SATORI is a professional chamber music
ensemble of winds, strings, and piano, whose
repertoire ranges from baroque to 21st century
selections, often intertwined within a single
performance. SATORI's name is taken from a
Zen term suggesting the coming together of
separate parts to form a whole - a perfect metaphor
for chamber music.
Upon formation of its Board of Directors, the
musician-managed chamber ensemble, based in
Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley, began in 1996.
SATORI's core musicians have performed
together for many years, and are frequently joined
by additional guest artists.
SATORI's schedule regularly includes
appearances at area colleges, museums, and
music festivals. in-school educational
programming, multidisciplinary performance
projects, and concert series at area senior
residences and hospitals are all part of
SATORI's community out-reach and many
partnerships.
