Enrich our Church with dedicated

Ministries for the Weekend of April 23rd & 24th
Eucharistic Ministers
From Father David... Christ is risen! Indeed, He is risen! We are approaching the midway
point of the Easter season, so let me do a “check in” on stewardship. In other
words, how we are living and taking responsibility for the life of our community
here at St. Therese Parish.
- Thank you, thank you, and again thank you to all who signed up for ministries
and volunteering at the end of the Lent, our parish Stewardship Sign-up Sunday.
I am grateful for those continuing in the same ministries or for those who wanted
a change and something new.
- Common sense tells me that not everyone is present on Stewardship Sign-up
Sunday. Busy people, on the go. Worshipping at different parishes on some
weekends. So, I would invite those who have not taken the time to fill out a
form to do so as soon as possible. We need you, and the Lord chooses to need
us to do His work. You will find the blank forms in the Gathering Space
through the end of the Easter.
- Thanks to our generous volunteers all submitted Stewardship forms have been
entered into our database. This process takes some time and attention, so we are
just beginning the process of providing the reports to our various committees.
As the committees receive the names of new volunteers, they will begin contact-
ing you. We want to honor your “yes” to God with a timely response.
- One last thought. A once-a-year stewardship form does not meet all the needs
of the work of God and would venture does not fit perfectly with your lives. In
other words, throughout the year, different committees and ministries will con-
tinue to reach out for help and volunteers. Stay tuned through the bulletin, news-
letter and Mass announcements. Or maybe later in the year you are interested in
helping or have time to volunteer, even though you did not sign up on the form
in Lent. Or perhaps there are items on the form that you do not really know
what it is about, how much time, etc. Finally, you might want to volunteer but
have no idea where you would fit in. If any of the scenarios are where you are
at, Shirley and I would love to visit with you. We are a parish that wants to an-
swer God’s call to serve. I would love to help you grow in your faith life as a
generous steward.
Blessings on your week! FR DAVID
Come and pray with the whole Church, Vespers and Benediction of the
Blessed Sacrament, today Sunday, April 17, 6 PM.
Today, the Fourth Sunday of Easter or Good Shepherd Sun-day is a special day for everyone in our parish. We cele-brate World Day of Prayer for Vocations. We ask that we
may be filled with joy and the Holy Spirit as we carry on the mission of Jesus, our Good Shepherd. Let us pray for one another that we may be strengthened in our Christian vocations as married and single people, priests, deacons, and religious. May our youth listen to God’s call and be encouraged to respond generously.
