Introduction

It is our goal to rebuild the infrastructure of “The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan” which was completely destroyed due to the war. The Maiwand Safi Construction Company is participating in the field of a road and residential complex/shopping arcade with the help of Ministry of Housing & Practical Planning of the Government of Afghanistan. It is our motto to rebuild the infrastructure such as road networks, commercial and residential blocks for living purposes. Furthermore, it will also provide good opportunities and a source of income to lower the percentage of unemployment of both skilled and unskilled workers of our country. MSCC has employed a skilled, energetic and competent team of technical staff to undertake all sorts of construction work in the field of civil, electrical, mechanical engineering and water and road networks. MSCC has also inducted a technical personnel team from abroad to produce high standard quality work in road & building construction.

MSCC has its own fleet of transport carriers, which can bring material, including multi-story buildings, air-compressors, and road rollers etc. from quarries to different sites all over Afghanistan.

MSCC has developed its own building and road material testing laboratory in order to check that the materials used at the different sites are in accordance with the international or local standards.

MSCC has a large number of technical personnel staff from different countries such as Germany, Pakistan and also skilled and unskilled Afghan personnel.

Team The professional team that previously worked for Bahir Wafi Construction & Road Company (BCRC) has a minimum of 15 years experience in the construction industry in Afghanistan. The staff of MSCC has the competence to take responsibility for the complete spectrum of services to achieve a successful realisation of the project. Projects In the future the Engineering Department of the Bahir Wafi Construction Company [BCRC] will work under the directorship of MSCC. It has been operating under the supervision of highly qualified engineers, technicians and surveyors, and is fully equipped with the latest world-class versions of the most modern equipment i.e. computers, design equipment, laboratories of different types for testing materials (soil, concrete, and cement) and various types of surveying machines operated by highly qualified and experienced operators and skilled staff Ongoing Projects Construction of Border Police Station The BP construction project is funded by the USACOE/RRCC and is being constructed by BCRC. The starting date had been September 2009, but it was suspended until March 2010, because there were problems between the community and the government over the land. 4 months ago everything was resolved and the construction work has been started. Total funds for this project are 5,050,000 USD. Construction of ASCHIANA Building in Kabul City The project is located in District 16 near to 1st Makroraryan and the surface area is 80x50 square meters.The starting date of this project was 29th June 2008, but there were governmental problems, which did not allow the project to start on time. After 4 months, we were allowed to go ahead with the project and currently 95% of work has been completed. The total approved budget was 663,000 USD but after extra work, the current budget is 765,000USD. . Chamkani to Jani Khel Road Construction project The length of the project is 22 kilometres and 10 metres in width, funded by the USAID/IRD and implemented by BCRC. The project starts from the Shaher Naw Bazaar Chamkani district to Jani Khel district Bazaar. The clearing and filling in, rock cutting and roadway excavation, embankment, sub grade, and construction of a large bridge have already been completed up to 12 kilometres. The clearing and filling-in, rock cutting and roadway excavation has started from 12 kilometres to 22 kilometres. The total funding of this project was 3,645,305 USD but after extra work, the current budget is 5,720,305 USD.
