Consumption Forecast and Automatic Order Generation with SAP SDM / CPRThe SAP SDM / CPR (Continuous Product Replenishment) forecast tool is an application of SAP SDM and is used to predict future demand. SAP SDM / CPR allows you to provide your customers with repeat deliveries at the right time, every time, and to contact them proactively. A range of methods is available for planning. Delivery can take place at fixed intervals or based on consumption forecasts. SAP SDM / CPR might calculate these based on the delivery history combined with external parameters such as the weather, consumption patterns or individual parameters. SAP SDM / CPR therefore allows you to offer significantly improved customer service, with salespeople who contact customers proactively and inform them of any upcoming demand. This prevents your customers ordering from your competitors. SAP SDM / CPR even generates all recurring orders automatically, without any manual intervention.

Key functions:

■ Forecasts for end consumer business ■ Compilation of call lists for Sales ■ Creation of email campaigns ■ Automatic order creation ■ Range of calculation methods ■ Expansion of sales activities

SAP SDM / CPR Analysis Tool

SAP SDM / CPR makes use of data from many different SAP objects when drawing up forecasts, including customer master data, storage objects (tanks), delivery history etc.

The analysis tool provides efficient ways for a suitable selection of customers who can be contacted for repeat delivery.

Earlier SAP SDM / CPR forecasts can be retrieved and compared with current forecasts. The SAP SDM / CPR parameters can be updated at any time. Usage factors can be set up for delivery, ensuring that the delivery is made on

Analysis using the address and historyThis selection gives you the most reliable parameters for your planning. The consumption is compared with weather data using previous deliveries. Dependent on the reconciliation of the data, the parameters for a calculation of a weather-dependent and a regular consumption is determined.

Business Benefits

■ Automate the order creation process ■ Company transformation, moving from a

reactive commercial model to a proactive one

■ Increase customer satisfaction by reducing run-outs

■ Lower costs by reducing the number of low-fills

■ Reduce order taking workload ■ Increase in customer retention

time and cost-efficiently. Showing the information as a diagram allows you to recognize seasonal consumption patterns, so that you can select the best possible delivery method for every time of year.

Add-On Initial Set Up Tool

Over time, you will collect a lot of information about your customers’ consumption, so that you can deliver to them on time, time and again. The Add-On Initial Set Up Tool allows you to use this collection of existing customer consumption parameters for new customers, too, allowing you to process new customers just as efficiently.

Analysis using the addressCustomers with identical postcodes are selected. Parameters such as average tank size and a range of consumption factors of a customer are shown.

Logistics Automation with SAP SDM / PAT and the Interface MonitorSAP SDM / PAT (Process Automation Tool) and the Interface Monitor are components of SAP SDMand automate your logistics and reconciliation processes. The required follow-up processes are fully automated in the background based on incoming information about order execution. Depending on the type of order, a number of background processes are executed, for example posting quantity corrections and stock levels, supplementing orders or generating invoices.

Reconciliation information can be recorded quickly and easily, either through manual entry or by automatic transfer using the interface adapter. The Interface Monitor facilitates the clear display of data flows via the interfaces and enables staff to act quickly in case of errors.

The goal is to achieve integrated and automated “order-to-cash” processes, even across corporate boundaries. These processes make sure that your customer receives an invoice as soon as goods have been dispatched, and consequently pays more quickly. Because manual input is not required,

modern processes like these are faster, more secure and more cost-efficient – delivering substantial cost savings.

Business Process Management

Thanks to the experience gained in many implementation projects, completed processes (Best Practice) are now supplied with the standard product. Existing processes can easily be expanded and updated and new ones simply mapped in SAP SDM / PAT without the need for development.

Business Rules Management

No two processes are exactly alike. Incoming data must be processed according to precisely defined rules and often even supplemented with data from the ERP system. SAP SDM / PAT ensures that the incoming data can be processed in accordance with a predefined set of rules.

Process Integration

SAP SDM / PAT facilitates the integration of cross-system processes. It ensures that you can integrate technical protocols and data structures of all kinds in your business processes. Both

individual interfaces and standardized B2B scenarios can be mapped via the central components. The development tools are fully integrated into the SAP ERP function; no other system components are needed. Now you can modify existing processes much more quickly than was possible in the past.

Execution

The execution of individual automated process steps is based on invoking BAPIs, which create or modify the document concerned in the SAP system.

Process Monitoring and Analysis

Automated processes must be monitored and checked. SAP SDM / PAT provides a control monitor that allows you to track and check each individual step of the automated process. Should an error occur, you simply correct it and restart the process.

Flexibility and Performance

The PAT dialogue was developed using the very latest SAP development technologies such as WebDynpro and Floor Plan Manager. SAP SDM / PAT is therefore fully customizable to your needs.

SAP SDM / PAT uses BAPIs to invoke SAP standard transactions. BAPIs ensure extremely high performance data entry.

Key Features

■ Supports a large number of business processes

■ Processes can be added or modified easily ■ Automates all transactions in the SAP ERP ■ Eliminates manual entries ■ Simple error handling

Business Benefits Interface Monitoring

■ Increased efficiency ■ Single transaction to monitor all

interfaces ■ Accelerated error handling ■ Lower operating costs through easy and

centralized interface administration ■ Reduce costs for error handling ■ Concentrate on error handling ■ Easy-to-use traffic light information

Business Benefits SAP SDM / PAT

Sales Forecasts with SAP RFNO / CSR

Any company wishing to optimize its stock-keeping and ensure continuous replenishment at the same time needs as detailed information as possible about anticipated sales. The innovative functionality of SAP RFNO / CSR (Continuous Station Replenishment) provides reliable forecasts of future fuel sales.

The basis: numerous data sources

The basis for the calculation by SAP RFNO / CSR is the use of many data sources. The main data source is the POS system, and fuel sales are filtered from the point-of-sale data. However, SAP RFNO / CSR also draws on the physical measured values of the pumps. Finally, the system additionally records tank levels. Thanks to this 360° view, SAP RFNO / CSR is always comprehensively informed about the inventories.

Looking ahead

A sales history is created from the sales that are continuously determined. It is supplemented by

the entry of special events that may positively or negatively influence sales. Examples are concerts or festivals, but also building sites or vacation periods. The results are further refined by a third level: a filter that can be individually configured and can also take the effects of competitor prices into consideration.

Automatic replenishment orders

Based on the fuel inventories and expected sales, SAP RFNO / CSR calculates when replenishment should best take place for each product type. The system then automatically generates a corresponding sales order, which can also be passed on to the tour planning SAP SDM / IDM straight away.

Business Benefits

■ Automation of stock-keeping ■ Optimization of inventory levels ■ Automatic replenishment orders ■ Maximum reliability for replenishment ■ Better logistics planning through integration

into SAP SDM / IDM ■ Ensuring effective delivery

Intelligent PricingFuel prices at the pump are market prices that are subject to intense competitive pressure. Having higher prices than competitors can quickly lead to lost sales. As a rule, service station operators must closely monitor the competition and adjust prices accordingly, often several times a day. These adjustments need to be made quickly but are anything but simple. With SAP RFNO, price setting can now be automated.

Automated pricing – from head office to the lessee

SAP RFNO users can use a central location to enter price changes that the system then propagates automatically to service station lessees. Importantly, each local station receives the price calculated individually for this site based on the parameters set for this station by head office.

Service station operators can also define the amount by which fuel prices should exceed or undercut the prices of competitors. Location groupings can also be used by head office to set “price leaders” in the company’s own network whose prices are definitive for neighboring

locations. Head office can also keep the price low in the morning to increase the shop’s lucrative breakfast business, for example.

Integrated pricing mechanism

The pricing mechanism function is integrated fully with SAP RFNO. This ensures optimum connectivity to all of the business processes managed by SAP RFNO – such as the automated billing with business partners, for example. The system logs all price changes automatically and applies periods of time and their corresponding fuel prices to daily lessee billing. The software also offers configurable interfaces to enable pricing data to be pulled from a variety of sources.

Pricing management app also available

To ensure service station operators can respond as quickly as possible, a Fiori app is also offered for pricing management. This lets service station operators and lessees use a smartphone or tablet to input competitor prices into the system as a basis for pricing.
