Our Value Proposition77

Synopsis11

Current Industry State & SAP WM functionality in all R/3 and ECC versions: Stocking Points geographically apart are setup as WM Storage Types Due to space constraints at Manufacturing Locations, many a timeDue to space constraints at Manufacturing Locations, many a time

Production related component material is stored in offsite locations which are set up as WM Storage Types too

Production Component Material is requisitioned from offsite locations Production Component Material is requisitioned from offsite locations almost in “Just-In-Time” or on an “as-need-be” basis

When transferring Material from offsite locations to the Production Supply Area, there are usually at least 4 or more Transfer Points involved: Offsite High Racks Offsite Outbound Docks Trailer with Material Receiving Docks at Manufacturing site Pre-Production Supply Area Production Supply Area

SAP’s 2-step picking process can only involve 3 Transfer points (Source, Intermediate and Destination Storage Types) and does NOT help provide

2

Intermediate and Destination Storage Types) and does NOT help provide visibility of the Production/Process Order at all stages

Multi Step Material Picking/Staging – Requirements22

Industry Requirements for Multi Step Material Picking/Staging: Need ability to Pick Material for Production Staging, from WM Storage

Types (possibly offsite stocking points) which are geographically apart fromTypes (possibly offsite stocking points) which are geographically apart from the Production Supply Area

Need visibility across all picking steps, of Process/Production Order for which Material is Picked for Staging at the Production Supply Areawhich Material is Picked for Staging at the Production Supply Area

Production Staging related Transfer Requirement should remain open until the Material is placed into the Production Supply Area, irrespective of # of picking steps

The Multi-step Material Picking Process Chain should be maintainable to indicate follow on Destination Storage Type for each Source Storage Type

If Material picked is traversing across public roadways, it should be possible to build truck loads and provide truck documents/Bill of Lading

SAP /WebSAP Console/RF “Point-to-Point” Integration should exist to be

Multi Step Material Picking/Staging – Requirements22

Industry Requirements for Multi Step Material Picking/Staging: Need ability to place material in a Pre-Production Supply Area from which

Material will be picked on-demand to the Production Supply AreaMaterial will be picked on demand to the Production Supply Area Upon on-demand Transfer of Material to Production Supply Area, the

Material qty should be consumed/goods issued as follows: If pallet quantity = Total Reservation qty Open for withdrawal If pallet quantity = Total Reservation qty Open for withdrawal

Pallet qty is auto Goods issued upon confirmation If pallet quantity < Total Reservation qty Open for withdrawal

Pallet qty is auto Goods issued upon confirmation If pallet quantity > Total Reservation qty Open for withdrawal

Total Reservation qty Open for withdrawal is auto Goods issued upon confirmation

IT Sapiens’ Solution Features33

Solution Excerpts: Ability to maintain Multi-step Material Picking Process Chain per

Requirement Type e.g. For Production Staging, Storage Types can be chained as:

Offsite High Racks Offsite Outbound Docks Trailer with Material Receiving Docks at Manufacturing site Pre-Production Supply Area Production Supply Area

Auto determination of next destination based on ‘Multi-step Material Picking Process Chain’ maintained

Auto generation of Transfer Requirement at every intermediate stage before Production Supply Area e g Auto TR generated with source as ‘Offsite Outbound Docks’ and destinatione.g. Auto TR generated with source as Offsite Outbound Docks and destination

as ‘Receiving Docks at Manufacturing site’ (based on User defined ‘Multi-step Material Picking Process Chain’ maintained)

Production Staging related Transfer Requirement remains open until the

Solution Merits66

Multi Step Production Material Staging/Picking Solution Merits: Provides ability for Material Transfer/Procurement from Contract Warehouses

or geographically apart stocking points, which are set up as WM Storage Types.

Overcomes limitation with SAP’s 2-step picking process which can only involve 3 Transfer points (Source, Intermediate and Destination Storage Types) and p ( , g yp )does NOT help provide visibility of the Production/Process Order at all stages

End-to-End Integration with SAP’s Transfer Requirement , Transfer Order and SAP/WebSAP Console functionalitySAP/WebSAP Console functionality

User can define and maintain the ‘Multi Step Material Picking Process Chain’ cGxP compliant end-to-end pallet Tracking, Traceability and logs stored directly

in Production/Process Ordersin Production/Process Orders Solution wedges well into IT Sapiens’ “WM Truck Builder” too, which provides

ability to build truck loads during material Transfer and generate Truck Documents
