Fainger LESER is one of the leading manufacturing
companies for safety valves in India. The state of
the art manufacturing facility is located in Paithan,
Aurangabad. The sales and marketing organization
headquartered in Mumbai offers powerful and
competent service.
The company was established in 1987 as a joint
venture between Fainger Engineering, India, and
LESER GmbH & Co. KG, Germany to manufacture
safety valves with a proven design and technology.
Since 2010, Fainger LESER is a 100% subsidiary of
LESER with now more than 120 employees.
Our modern manufacturing and testing facilities
ensure high quality safety valves and a large central
stock guarantees short delivery times for valves and
spare parts. To date, the more than 150,000
Fainger LESER safety valves installed underline the
trust the customers have in Fainger LESER.
Our safety valves are being used by customers
across all major industries like oil & gas,
petrochemicals, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and
Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
Fainger LESER has all the detailed knowledge and
modern technology required for producing high
quality safety valves. Our safety valves are
manufactured in the Paithan factory, which has an
annual capacity of 24,000 valves. In the past two
years, Fainger LESER has invested in new
processes and technologies. The facilities have
been equipped with modern CNC and drilling
machines.

1. Fainger LESER Offer Number
All Fainger LESER offers are identified by a unique 8 digit Number which can be found
on the cover sheet and on the top right corner of every page of a Fainger LESER
Quotation. The first two digits are always <10>. When referring to items in an offer, the
item will be added to the offer number separated by a slash (/)
Example: 10123456/10 Item 10 of offer 10123456
2. Fainger LESER Job Number
The Fainger LESER Job Number is the order acceptance number provided upon order
acceptance. It is a unique 8 digit number which always starts with the first two digits as
<20>. It can be found on the cover page and in the top right corner of every page of a
Fainger LESER order confirmation. When referring to items in an order, the item will
be added to the offer number separated by a slash (/)
Example: 20987654/10 Item 10 of offer 20987654

(3.2) Fainger LESER “Model number”
The Fainger LESER model number is a 8 digit (2 x4) number that describes the valve
type and, the orifice designation/orifice diameter of the valve and for type 441 the
pressure rating of the Inlet Flange.
The model number of the different valve type can be selected from the mode number
selection tables starting from page 4 by selecting the desired valve type, orifice
designation / orifice diameter and the pressure class / sizes.

(3.3) Fainger LESER “Extended Model number”
Besides the 8 digit model number so called option codes are used to configure a
Fainger LESER safety valve. An option code is identified with the help of a 3 digit Alpha
Numerical code that selects additional features for a valve.
e.g. Option code XF3 selects a stainless steel spring.
The Fainger LESER extended model number adds the most significant attributes of the
valve configuration by listing the selected option codes for the following attributes after
the model
The detailed selection tables for all option codes will be circulated with the revised
Fainger LESER catalogue in early 2014. The possible attributes for the extended article number can be found in the Annexure starting from page 7.

(3.4) Fainger LESER “Order Code”
The Order Code is the complete set of all option codes that were selected for a valve
configuration and is printed on offers and order acceptances. With this code an exact
same configuration of a valve can be reordered if required.

Fainger LESER Serial Number
All Fainger LESER valves, which will be delivered after the SAP Launch, will be
registered to the system with a new serial number which is a 8 digit running number for
all LESER valves worldwide. This number will be printed onto the tag plate of the valves
and is a unique identifier of the valve.
