What is SAP DB Control Center? // Product Information
SAP DB Control Center is SAP’s new-generation enterprise-class Systems Management solution that enables DBAs to
Administer and Monitor a variety of SAP Database products in one graphical UI either locally or remotely.
Capabilities:
Alerting, Monitoring and Resolution • Alerts to notify before Database is critical, Monitor critical situations for the trending changes, and Administer
Database changes to resolve issues.
Prediction and Prevention • Review snapshots of past as well as patterns over a period of time to predict time, place and reason for
future such events; and prevent issues before they occur.
Breadth of Coverage • ASE, IQ, RS, ESP & SAP Mobile Platform; and extensible in future to HANA & SQLA.
Scale • 1 to 250 servers of supported SAP DB products.
Future release to increase scale to thousands of servers.
Ease of Use
• Graphically rich with graphs, charts and tables.
• Browser-based UI enables remote access, ease of deployment (without client-side installation), and easier
upgrades/maintenance.

• Provides high level availability, health (capacity/performance) and alert
status
• Cockpits interpret KPI’s collected and aggregate into availability/health
indicator
• Alerts broken into High (HP), Medium (MP) and Low (LP) priority to align
with HANA
• User can drill into system or more context relevant URL via links under
Availability, Capacity, Performance and Alerts
• URLs are provided to SAP DB Control Center at resource registration by
the cockpit and are updates if the periodic scan for updates indicates a
need to re-register the URLs.
