Business Drivers: Serialization on item level enables various newservices in industries like pharmaceutical products, Healthcare, DiscreteManufacturing, consumer products or retail. Beside enabling traceability ofgoods, it reveals counterfeiting and through this it helps to protect yourbrand. Track-and-Trace throughout the entire supply chain is given throughan end-to-end integration and enables an overall transparency of goods.

Solution: With the ability to apply barcodes or RFID labels on item leveland therefore realize real-time serialization with the speed of the industrystandards, this solution helps you to provide the maximum transparency foryour value chain. “Advanco Plant Serialisation Execution” (aPSE is an Add-On to the SAP AII) ensures the implementation in plants on device andcontroller level and provides an execution management tool for theserialized packaging operations in the shop-floor, while the SAP PI, AII andOER manage unique identifiers on a global level. Throughout the valuechain various services help to keep quality and interaction capabilities high.
