INTRODUCTION SAP is an Integrated Business Software to

process various functionalities, including the activities such as Inventory management, Customer Service, Finance , Human resource etc. of an organization. It is an ERP software System.

SAP is a company which was founded in Mannheim, Germany in 1972 by five ex-IBM engineers (Wellenreuther, Hopp, Hector, Plattner & Tschira). SAP stands for Systems, Applications, Products in Data processing.

SAP AG is the biggest European Software Company. It has its Head Office at Walldorf, Germany with location in more than 130 countries. It makes enterprise software to manage business operations and customer relations.

SAP was the first market Leader which integrate an organizations various functions in to one Application.

SAP till yet developed 4 Systems i.e. R/1, R/2, R/3 & ECC.

To Implement SAP in a business process we use ASAP methodology( Method of Implementing SAP). ASAP (Accelerated SAP) is a step by step Approach. The word “Accelerated’’ refers to many accelerators (Tools & Information's) that are available in SAP to complete the Implementation of SAP in an Organization.
