UNIVERSITY OF SANTO TOMAS Santo Tomas Scholarship Program España, Manila About the Scholarship The Santo Tomas Scholarship is named after the Patron Saint of the University, and is given to students with excellent academic performance. The application requirements and procedure are intended for incoming Faculty of Civil Law Freshmen applicants who are Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, or Summa Cum Laude graduates who wish to apply for the Santo Tomas Scholarship. The scholarship is renewable every term of the academic year. General Qualifications Procedure for Application Benefits Must be a Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, or Summa Cum Laude graduate; Must be a confirmed enrollee of the UST Faculty of Civil Law. (for Faculty of Civil Law) For the Processing of the Scholarship Application All Qualified Applicants must bring and submit the following documents to the Office for Student Affairs: Santo Tomas Scholarship Application Form (form may be secured from the Office for Student Affairs); 1 copy of 2”X2colored ID Picture; Photocopy of the UST Registration Form (if already enrolled); Photocopy of the Official Transcript of Records; Original Certification from the school that the student graduated Cum Laude / Magna Cum Laude / Summa Cum Laude (The schools dry seal should be affixed to the document); and Certificate of Good Moral Character (Issued by the Office of the Dean / Office for Student Affairs). The applicant should submit the accomplished and signed application form together with the complete requirements at least a working day before the Scheduled Day of Enrolment at the Office for Student Affairs, located at the 2nd floor of the UST Tan Yan Kee Student Center. (The student will write an essay, and fill-out the Scholarship Encoding and Agreement Forms) CUM LAUDE & MAGNA CUM LAUDE SUMMA CUM LAUDE 50% defrayal of Tuition 100% defrayal of Tuition NOTE: P.E. Uniform, Retreat, Review, Alumni, Graduation, and Out-of-State Fees are not included in the computation for scholarship discount For the renewal of the scholarship, the scholar must maintain an average grade of at least 86% with no failing grades in both academic and non-academic courses.
