Safe Exit Assist (SEA)3The system detects any oncoming vehicles approaching from the rear and alerts the driver that it may be dangerous for passengers to exit the vehicle, with both a sound and a pop-up visual warning on the dashboard. If the child safety lock is activated, the SEA system will stop the door from being unlocked by the driver to prevent opening.

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist - Junction Turning (FCA-JT)The FCA-Junction Turning system is designed to reduce the risk of collision by detecting and monitoring oncoming vehicles. Additionally when the driver activates the Santa Fe’s indicators to turn right at a junction, the system recognises any oncoming vehicles ahead using its front view camera and front radar. If there’s a risk of a collision, it produces warning messages or haptic warning alarms accordingly and applies emergency braking if needed.

Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA)When backing out from a parking position, RCCA detects approaching vehicles from the left or right. The sensor will issue an audible alert and visual warning on the dashboard and if necessary, will initiate a braking manoeuvre.

Lane Following Assist (LFA)LFA uses a front windshield-mounted camera to detect lane markers on the road and provides steering assistance to ensure the Santa Fe stays in the centre of its lane.

The Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) function coordinates feedback from the Santa Fe’s onboard radar and front view camera to scan the road ahead. If a potential collision is detected, the system can apply the brakes to help prevent accidents.
