Before reading the lesson ,lets do an activity .You must have been to a garden .Make a list of things that you have seen there. Discuss it with your parents. Summary- The story is about a giant who is very selfish but soon he realizes his mistake.He had a beautiful huge garden but children were not allowed to play in it.`He build high wall all around the garden placed a notice at the gate, so that children can not enter the garden. So,as he wanted children did not played in his garden but they were very sad as they had no place to play. Soon the Spring came. The whole country bloomed with flowers, except for the giant’s garden. The giant becomes sad as he waits for Spring, but Spring does not come. One day he peeps out of the window and sees some children creeping in through a little hole in the wall. He sees them playing under a tree. The tree is so glad to have the children back again, that it covers itself with flowers.The giant’s heart melts as he realizes that he has been punished for not sharing the garden with the children and he breaks the wall around the garden.He allowed the children in his garden ,now his garden was filled with joy and the Spring now never forgets to visit the giant’s garden.
