THE LEGEND OF SAINT THE LEGEND OF SAINT GEORGEGEORGE

NARRATOR: Once upon a time there was a village where the entire villagers were afraid because of a big dragon. One day the King and Queen were in the castle.

KING: What’s that noise?

KING:What that noise?

QUEEN: I can see something behind the wall!Look! It’s a dragon!

NARRATOR: The dragon is big and green. It has got a big mouth and lots of teeth. It isn’t very happy.

KING: I want to fight it, but my back hurts.

QUEEN: Go and fight it!

NARRATOR: This is (….). He is a Knight.

The knight: I’ve got my sword. I’ve got my horse. I want to fight the dragon!

VILLAGER 2:Hurray! It’s (…) !

VILLAGER: 1 Open the door!

NARRATOR: Ten minutes later, (….) rides back to the castle. He isn’t very happy.

knight: Where am I?

NARRATOR: This is (…). He’s a knight, too.

The knight : I’m not afraid. I’ve got my bow and arrows. I want to fight the dragon!

VILLAGER 4:Hurray! It’s (…) !

VILLAGER 3: Open the door!

NARRATOR: Five minutes later, (….) runs back to the castle.

knight: I want to go to bed now!

NARRATOR: The king and Queen are afraid. The

knights are afraid.

QUEEN: Look at the dragon. It’s very angry

NARRATOR:But Princess Jill isn’t afraid. She goes to the kitchen.

THE COOK: Yes, here you are.

PRINCESS JILL: Can I have a big

knife, please?

NARRATOR: Princess Jill goes to the door. The king and Queen were really afraid.

Princess Jill: Open the door!

KING: Come back, Princess Jill!!

NARRATOR: The dragon looked at Princess Jill. It opened its big mouth. Jill can see lots and lots of teeth. And then.. Suddenly appear a strong and handsome knight with a long lance.

VILLAGER 5: Look!! He is a strong knight!

VILLAGER 6: Is Saint George!

PRINCESS JILL:

Oh! Save me!!

NARRATOR: Saint George killed the dragon with a lance…

The blood of the dragon turned into roses. Saint George

give one of the roses to the princess as a sign of love.

NARRATOR: Everyone was very happy

VILLAGER 7: Long live Saint George!

NARRATOR: And Saint George goes on his white horse and rides away smiling.
