Meetings Meetings at International Conventions give members the opportunity to hear experi-ence, strength, and hope from S-Anons worldwide. Not only do these meetings and new friendships help boost recovery, they also deepen a connection to the S-Anon Fellowship, ourselves, and Higher Power. Meetings will begin on Friday afternoon, January 18, and end around noon on Sun-day, January 20. A program will be made available closer to the convention.
Speakers Traditionally, International Conventions are limited to 3 S-Anon speakers as these events are typically held in cooperation with Sexaholics Anonymous. Being an S-Anon only event though, this International Convention will be hosting 6 S-Anon Speakers!
If you are interested in being a Speaker, please contact the S-Anon World Service Office for the Speaker’s Pool Registration Form and the Speaker’s Pool Guidelines.
S-Ateen Information In addition to the scheduled S-Anon meetings, S-Ateen members will benefit from separate breakout sessions designed specifically for young people, ages 12 to 19. They will learn about the Twelve Steps of S-Ateen and other relevant recovery princi-ples. S-Ateen members will also have the opportunity to share with others who truly understand, hear how others have solved similar problems, and discover a new hope.
For the Newcomer We understand that attending this event is a big step and would like to make you feel welcome. Please let us know if you are a Newcomer as there will be planned meals at nearby restaurants with other S-Anon members to help you stay connected. Whether you pre-connect or are a walk-in, there will be a designated time and meet-ing area for Newcomers to meet other S-Anon members. Please do not hesitate to reach out to the S-Anon World Service Office at [email protected] if you have any questions or concerns.
Cancellations and Refunds Cancellations and refund requests will be honored until January 4, 2019, and are subject to a $25.00 administrative processing fee. Cancellations can be made via email, [email protected], or by calling the S-Anon World Service Office at 1(800)210-8141.
“Today I try to give back what I was
given by connecting with newcomers
and welcoming them. It is very im-
portant to my recovery to pass on the
message of hope that was given to
me.”
- Reflections of Hope, pg. 118
