SANGMESHWAR COLLEGE, SOLAPUR Youth Festival – 2011-12 to 2016-17 Sangameshwar College is well known for student contribution in youth festival. During the current year youth festival students bagged a trophy in music and art section. Apart from this total 11 prizes have been owned by our students. In 2015-2016 students have bagged second prize in General championship with total 14 prizes in various events. Sangameshwar Birajdar of our college has own 2 nd prize in nature painting & 3 rd in the college group at western region youth festival held in Gujarath. Along with him Ms. Dipali Modak has own 2 nd prize in ‘Mime’. Our students are world famous during the International Youth Festival held in Jaipur. Our students Ms. Ketaki Ranade own first prize in ‘Group Song’ & Indian Classical music. Mr. Harwalkar Abhishekh had own 2 nd prize in ‘Mime’ in the same competition. 2013-2014 the college has 3 rd prize in general with 10 awards in various events. Remarkable results were recorded during the year 2012-13with total 10 prizes in various events. Our students have recorded their talent in International events. Shradha Hullenavaru has own second prize in folk dance competition at Singapur in 2012- 13. Our students have bagged total 9 prizes during the year 2011-2012 at state and national levels. In this way our students have maintained the record of prizes in various events at University, State, National as well as international levels.

Sangameshwar College is well known for student contribution in youth festival. During the current year youth festival students bagged a trophy in music and art section. Apart from this total 11 prizes have been owned by our students.
In 2015-2016 students have bagged second prize in General championship with total 14 prizes in various events. Sangameshwar Birajdar of our college has own 2nd prize in nature painting & 3rd in the college group at western region youth festival held in Gujarath. Introduction: In the Accreditation the Peer Team in their overall analysis found, ’the participations of the college in cultural activities and sports activities of the university are equally commendable.’ This judgment has confirmed and motivated us in the objective of education is to bring out the best in the students so, along with curricular activities co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are the educational tools we try to use effectively for the all round development of the learners. Youth Festival Committee is one of the major committees functioning well since years together. Aim: To bring out the best in the blooming minds of the learners. Objectives: 1. All round development of the learner; 2.To nurture the hidden skills in the learners. Brief History of the Committee: This committee has been functioning in the college almost from the inception of the college. The stalwart teachers of the college have worked in capacity of convener. This committee has provided different artist orators, art directors, well known writers to the nation. Activities: The Committee works as per the schedule of youth festival of Solapur University. The Committee decides different events of participation after notifying this to students. The audition test is done for the selection and the potential participants are given opportunity to participate. The Convenor and his committee members provide all the facilities necessary for the preparation. The institution has purchased the instruments required as per the demand of the committee. The rehearsal is done under the supervision of the committee members in especially devoted rooms for this purpose. The institute provides optimum facilities for the blooming of skills in the students.
Best Practice: The Alumni of the college contribute very meaningfully in the successful organization and presentation of different events. They have their major role in the success of the college in these events. Achievements:
1. Prof. V. S. Kore was selected as a member of Organising Committee of Solapur University Youth Festival.
2. Many students have won different prizes and the amount is in thousands of rupees.
3. The Youth Festival activities developed values among the learners. 4. Life Skills like leadership, stage daring, team work are developed in the
learners.

Our college students have achieved the remarkable aim by wining many prizes and awards in Youth Festival, Inter University Youth Festival ‘Indradhanushya’,West Zone Youth Festival & also in National Level Youth Festival.In 2015 our students presents 15 different artistic activities and they bagged the over all championship of the Youth Festival.
This committee has a hawk- eye in searching the artistic students, motivate them and guide them to participate in such programmes,and it was a tremendous success of the Committee.The committee has surveyed and came to the conclusion ,that these activities have helped the students not only the success but it has enhanced then confidence, staring daringness and become more social, so in a nutshell, it helped the over all department of the students.
