Hello parents, carers and friends of Sandy Beach Public School, Year 6 went to High Schools yesterday to attend the 6-7 transition event. Most students are excited to begin a new part of their education journey and we wish them all the best in the future. Teachers Federation Meeting tomorrow On Thursday 5 December, NSW Teachers Federation are holding mass meetings at 8.30am. The majority of teaching staff at Sandy Beach Public School will be attending. There will be minimal supervision arrangements for students who attend school. Classes will resume at approximately 10am. Library Books Overdue library books to be returned as soon as possible. No more borrowing will happen so we can complete our stocktake. Intensive Swimming Year 2 have been attending swimming lessons for the past week. Many students have improved their skills. Thank you to the staff attending this daily event. They are nearly as tired as the students. Thank you to Mrs Simpson for coordinating this program. 2020 Student Council Speeches A high quality of applicants delivered their speeches last week. Students will be told if the were successful in gaining a position tomorrow. This will be formally announced on Presentation Day. Disco on Thursday night The P&C and staff are holding a disco on Thursday 5 December. This will be in the hall. Students should wear neat casual clothes. No thongs please. Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 from 5:00 to 6:00 Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 from 6:15 - 7:15 $2 entry (includes a drink) Students only attend the session for their age group. We ask that parents are prompt in picking up their child at the end of the disco. Hi everyone
At our AGM meeting on Monday we thanked Katrina Serduik for all her efforts over the last seven years of being part of the P & C and for the last 6 years of being our amazing treasurer. Thanks again Katrina. We now welcome Jenny Becker as treasurer to the P & C. Disco There is a disco on Thursday 5th December Infants 5 - 6 pm and Primary 6:15 - 7:15 pm Cost $2 includes entry and popper or water
