Sand Cone Method

Sand cone method The limitations of this test This method cannot be used if we are dealing with a sandy soil, because when we are going to dig the soil the boundaries will collapse in to the pit. This is why we cannot have the correct volume of the pit that we need to have to perform this practical. Therefore this method has that limitation. Since we are using a replacing method, it has the following defect. If the soil is wet by somehow then the uncemented sand will be imposed by a cementing effect and the expected volume of the pit will not be measured.

The limitations of this test

This method cannot be used if we are dealing with a sandy soil, because when we are going to dig the soil the boundaries will collapse in to the pit.
