Consortium for On-Board Optics [COBO]

• Started at OFC2015 [March 2015]

• Goal is to standardize on-board optic solution. - Not the optical module but the solution (Connector, Mechanical, envelope, monitoring interface, Thermal)

• Mainly led by Microsoft and their supplier (Juniper, Cisco, Arista, Mellanox,…

• Samtec has been participating in COBO since June 2015.
